When Leslie and Diana started Mountain Colors they had 5 colorways and 3 types of yarn. In the last 20+ years they added new colors, new yarns and new products. In February 2023 I saw that Mountain Colors was for sale and jumped at the chance. At first, my husband Darren thought I was joking and then HE began researching how to dye yarn and here we are! Diana and Leslie are simply the best at teaching me their ways so we can continue with the same quality that you have all come to know and love. We want to honor their traditions and start some new ones of our own.
The reason Leslie and Diana started dyeing originally was because they loved working with fiber and color and that hasn’t changed at all. We will still introduce new colorways each year. We also offer small “color” kits, our Perspective gradient kits and great patterns.
